Joint Inspection Report

What is a Joint Inspection Report?

Joint Inspection Reports are conducted by a surveyor representing the claimant alongside a surveyor representing the defendant. These comprehensive reports comply with Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and are also referred to as ‘Part 35 Compliant Reports’ or Expert Witness Reports. They provide the professional opinion of a Chartered Surveyor, detailing not only the evidence of disrepair but also the recommended remedial actions to address any damage.

Accompanying the report is a detailed Scott Schedule, also known as a Schedule of Repairs, which offers an itemised overview of all disrepair issues along with the associated repair costs. This schedule is collaboratively compiled by both surveyors, ensuring a comprehensive assessment.
