Single / Joint Inspection Report

What is a Single / Joint Inspection Report?

Single/Joint Inspection Reports are conducted by a surveyor acting on behalf of both the claimant and the defendant. These comprehensive reports are fully compliant with Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and are also known as ‘Part 35 Compliant Reports’ or Expert Witness Reports. They provide the professional opinion of a Chartered Surveyor, detailing not only the evidence of disrepair but also the recommended remedial actions to rectify any damage.

Included in the report is a detailed Scott Schedule, also referred to as a Schedule of Repairs, which offers an itemised overview of all disrepair issues and associated repair costs. Both parties rely on the surveyor’s professional opinion, ensuring a balanced and thorough assessment.
